State Police are searching the woods in the Spot Pond area of Stoneham Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Around 2:15 p.m. a State Police crime van was seen entering the woods at Spot Pond, according to Twitter User @BostonNewsMan. Police confirmed that authorities were called to the area to investigate a suspicious hole.
