State Police Continue Investigating Fells Area Off Route 28 In Stoneham

State Police continue to investigate a suspicious hole found at the Middlesex Fells Reservation Thursday afternoon in Stoneham.

As of 4:30 p.m., authorities have not confirmed that a body has been found in the wooded section off Route 28 north about a mile from the intersection near Friendly's.

Mass DOT workers have places orange traffic cones and parked two sign vehicles directing northbound traffic to the left lane, as there are a couple State Police vehicles parked in the right lane.

A man and woman recently entered the woods with investigators. It is unclear what their connection is to the case, as the woman declined to comment.
