Stoneham's Marc Fucarile, Marathon Blast Survivor, Gets Married at Fenway

Fucarile lost a leg and underwent 49 hospital procedures.

Marc Fucarile, a Stoneham resident who survived last year's Boston Marathon bombings, gave his bride the wedding of her dreams.

Fucarile and his bride, Jen, got married during a ceremony at Fenway Park Thursday.

"They’ve had a very trying year and we’re very proud of them and we’re happy to celebrate today," Julie Callahan, a cousin, told WHDH/7News.

Fucarile lost his right leg in the blasts. He also suffered burns, shrapnel wounds, and ruptured eardrums, among other injuries. He underwent 49 procedures at Massachusetts General Hospital and was the last bombing victim to be released from the hospital after spending nearly three months there.

More than 100 wedding guests arrived for the wedding in Duckboats, according to WHDH. Among the guests were Paul and JP Norden, fellow Stoneham residents who were severely injured in the bombings.
