The Stoneham region may receive 1-2 inches of rainfall mixed with snow, while wind gusts intensify on Friday.
The National Weather Service issued flood and high wind warnings ahead of heavy rains and winds expected to hit the Stoneham region starting early Friday morning. Both advisories take effect Friday morning and will continue into Friday evening. "A mix (of) rain and wet snow will develop late this evening and continue overnight...changing to all rain around daybreak," reads the flood warning. "The rain will become heavy at times Friday morning and last through mid-afternoon before tapering off by evening. "One to two inches of precipitation with locally higher amounts can be expected across the area."
