In early March, Staude was recognized with one of the most prestigious awards for teen artists and writers in the United States: He won the Gold Key in the Boston Globe's Scholastic Art & Writing Awards competition for his photo entitled “Robin.” This year, there were more than 14,000 images submitted as part of portfolios by 6,500 students in grades 7-12 from public, private and parochial schools around the state.
