Stoneham Police teamed up with a pair of SWAT teams to execute what they called a "high risk" search warrant.
A variety of law enforcement agencies converged on a Stoneham home to execute a search warrant, arresting two residents of the property on drug charges Friday morning. According to a press release from the Stoneham Police Department, the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLAC) and the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department SWAT teams joined them at a home at 45 Pomeworth Street to execute a “high risk” search warrant related to narcotics sales. Stoneham Police assisted Melrose Police in the search for a possible suspect vehicle involved in a shooting on West Wyoming Avenue in Melrose late Thursday night, according to unconfirmed scanner reports. At roughly 11:45 p.m. Thursday, Melrose Police responded to 19 West Wyoming Ave. after receiving several calls about shots fired in the area, according to the reports.
