Dr. Carl Conui, who has performed surgeries at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, helped people injured during the Boston Marathon bombings on Monday afternoon.
When bombs were detonated near the finish line at the Boston Marathon on Monday afternoon, Dr. Carl Conui described the scene as a "war zone." Conui, 44, a Stoneham resident who works at New England Foot & Ankle Specialists which has offices in Reading and Somerville, has served as a volunteer at the Boston Marathon for about 15 years. At past marathons, Conui said that the typical types of injuries he has dealt with include blisters, damage to nails, sprains, strains, assisting with physical therapy and dehydration issues that cropped up at last year's race due to the hot weather. "The Dirty Doodle is a dog boutique and self-wash with a strong focus on and dedication to holistic foods and treats, force free training methods, animal rescue causes and consumer education about the medical consequences of poor canine nutrition," Fusco said. Instead of taking your dog to the groomer, you can bring your dog to the Dirty Doodle and use their equipment to wash and dry your pup. Three men, including a Stoneham man, pleeaded guilty to home invasion and robbery charges in connection with a 2011 home invasion in Reading, Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone announced Thursday evening in a press statement. Jason Molle, 21, of Stoneham, Garrett Collins, 22, and Matthew Stratton, 20, both of Reading, pleaded guilty Thursday to charges of home invasion, armed robbery, conspiracy, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (two counts), and assault and battery, the press statement reads.
