Despite the Blizzard of '13 rolling through on Friday, Feb. 8, that Friday was a quiet day for the Fire Department with only three calls—one for a motor vehicle accident with personal injuries at Main and Pleasant Streets, a medical aid call on Marble Street and an investigation on Franklin Street. As the worst of the blizzard hit overnight on Friday into Saturday, Feb. 9, that Saturday proved to be a much busier day for Stoneham firefighters, with 14 calls for service.
