Longtime Boston Red Sox pitcher and knuckleballer Tim Wakefield is retiring from baseball after 19 seasons in the majors, according to a Boston Globe report. He began his career with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1992, where he played two seasons before joining the Red Sox in 1995. He accomplished quite a bit in his career, including: Memorable Moments While the Red Sox got pummeled by the Texas Rangers 10-0 on Sept. 2, 2011, I'll always remember watching that game at Fenway Park and Wakefield's strong relief appearance that night being the only bright spot in the game.
