Woburn-based Tanner Tavern was filled to the brim with people drinking, eating and jiving to live music for a good cause last night. The crowd gathered to help raise funds for Marc Fucarile, a Stoneham man injured in the Boston Marathon bombings who is the only remaining Boston Marathon victim at Mass General Hospital. He has already lost his right leg and doctors are trying to save his left through various surgeries and medical procedures. The event was organized by Woburn Firefighter Joe Foley, with the help of many other volunteers, including members of the Stoneham Fire Department. At 12:05 a.m. May 6 on Interstate 95 in North Hampton, Stephen Bolton, 50, of Stoneham, was arrested and charged with possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, according to the statement. During that time period, Troop A made 29 arrests, including 17 NH residents, nine from Massachusetts, two from Maine and one from Florida, according to the statement. The majority of the charges levied against the drivers were either drug or alcohol-related, according to the statement.

Dow and her husband Alexander are Wakefield residents who own two dogs, one of them a recently rescued labrador retriever, she told Patch.com in a recent phone conversation. "I was the kid that would always play with all the dogs in the neighborhood," said Dow, adding that she got her first dog at age 10 when a cousin went away to college. After the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15, Stoneham resident Carl Conui has spent the past month thinking about that tragic day while also attending several fundraisers. Dr. Carl Conui, who has performed surgeries at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, helped the injured during the bombings. Conui, 44, a podiatrist who works for New England Foot & Ankle Specialists which has offices in Reading and Somerville, has served as a volunteer at the Boston Marathon for about 15 years. "Doing well one month after the bombings with definitely a thought of resilience," he said.
