Event Spotlight: Senior Center Bridge Club and Chorus/Tambourine Band

Two get-togethers are going on at the Senior Center Tuesday, Nov. 15. Bridge club and a Senior Chorus/Tambourine Band.

The Senior Center has two unique events going on today. The first is the weekly meeting of the Bridge Club that will gather at 8:45 a.m. The second is musically driven; the Senior Center's weekly Senior Chorus and Tambourine Band which will follow Bridge Club at 9:30 a.m. If you have nothing to do Tuesday morning, swing by the Senior Center on 136 Elm Street for a game of cards and a chance to raise your voices high!

1. Looking for a new place? Check out our weekly "House Hunt" column at noon featuring several upcoming open houses in Stoneham. 2. Pingpong anyone? The First Congregational Church in Stoneham, 1 Church St., is hosting its annual Pingpong Tournament from 6-9 p.m. The tourney serves as a fundraiser for Partners in Health’s Hope for Haiti Fund and the Hungry Helpers/Stoneham Community Dinners program. Adult play is $10 and children (ages 8-12) play is $5. Free child care is also available. 3. Care to dance? Musician Gary Leanues is expected to play music at 2 p.m. at the Stoneham Senior Center, 136 Elm St. Hor d'oeuvres and punch will be served at the free event. 1. Check yourself: The Stoneham Senior Center, 136 Elm St., Stoneham is hosting a free blood pressure check from 9:30-10:30 a.m. 2. Tell me a story: Stoneham Public Library, 431 Main St., Stoneham will provide children ages 3 1/2 and older with a storytime and the opportunity to make simple crafts from 10:30-11:15 a.m. in the Children's Room. The program is free and open to the public.  3. Get smart: Team trivia kicks off at 8 p.m. at Chili's, 70 Walkers Brook Dr., Reading. Winners will receive cash prizes. 4. Community dining: The Community Dinner Program, which consists of more than 50 churchgoers from several churches in town providing meals to people from the area, is slated for 5:45 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Stoneham…
