Armed Robbery in Reading Thursday Night

The Gulf Station on Main Street was robbed at gunpoint.

The Gulf Station on Main Street was robbed late Thursday night, according to WCVB.com. No injuries were reported. The suspect was armed and believed to be the same person who recently robbed stores in Melrose, Stoneham and Woburn, according to WCVB.com. State police assisted Reading Police to track the suspect, but no arrests have been made. Check in with us for updates.

Stoneham Man, Two Others Plead Guilty to Reading Commons Home Invasion

Jason Molle, 21, of Stoneham, and Garrett Collins, 22, and Matthew Stratton, 20, both of Reading, pleaded guilty to charges related to a 2011 home invasion in Reading.

Three men, including a Stoneham man, pleeaded guilty to home invasion and robbery charges in connection with a 2011 home invasion in Reading, Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone announced Thursday evening in a press statement. Jason Molle, 21, of Stoneham, Garrett Collins, 22, and Matthew Stratton, 20, both of Reading, pleaded guilty Thursday to charges of home invasion, armed robbery, conspiracy, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (two counts), and assault and battery, the press statement reads. Middlesex Superior Court Judge Garry Inge sentenced the defendants to 2 1/2 years in the House of Corrections, suspended for 30 months on one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and an additional 2 1/2 years in the …

Stop & Shop Purse-Snatching Suspect Arrested

Patch story leads to arrest of a Reading woman who allegedly stole a purse from a customer inside the grocery store July 24.

Stoneham Police arrested a Reading woman Wednesday who allegedly stole a purse from a customer inside the Stop & Shop Supermarket on Main Street last month, police said. Erica Small, 23, faces a felony charge of theft from a person, said Det. Chris Dalis in an email to Stoneham Patch. Last week police were looking for leads and released a surveillance image of a woman who allegedly stole a purse while inside the store on July 24.  "We were able to identify the suspect and located her (Wednesday)," Dalis wrote. "She confessed to the incident and was arrested.
