Torrie Haynes, 30, of Dorchester was arraigned Tuesday, Nov. 13 in Suffolk Superior Court on charges of distribution of a class B substance as a subsequent offense, two counts of assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest, according to a press release from Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Melrose Man Facing Possession of Child Pornography Charges: A Melrose man was arraigned on possession of child pornography charges Friday in a Malden court, announced Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone and Melrose Police Chief Michael Lyle in a press statement. Thomas Lynch, 50, of Melrose, was arraigned Friday in Malden District Court on two charges of possession of child pornography and possession of child pornography with intent to distribute, according to the statement. Man Kicks Wheelchair-Bound Nun, Says Somerville Police Report: A Cambridge man was caught "giving chase to one of the nuns" at Somerville's Little Sisters of the Poor, according to a Somerville Police report. He then allegedly kicked the nun.  The man later allegedly told the officers who arrested him, "If I wasn't handcuffed, and I had a gun, I would [expletive] shoot both of you." State Emergency Agency to Add Texts to Warning System

The governor and MEMA unveiled Ping4alerts! Friday.

In addition to the well-known television and rado alerts, the Massachusetts Emergency Management System (MEMA) on Friday unveiled a new tool to kept Bay Staters abreast of urgent news. The latest system is called Ping4alerts! and allows residents to sign up for a free mobile communications application that will send alerts to iPhones and Android devices with immediate information and emergencies and disasters.  "This newly added and innovative technology will allow Public Safety entities throughout the Commonwealth to not only alert citizens of an impending problem, but also push out many forms of specific information with detailed steps to help ensure their safety," Lt. The caller reported an overly aggressive female solicitor trying to sell goods, according to police. POLICE LOG: Stoneham Officers Track Down Vehicle Allegedly Involved in Multiple Hit-And-Run Accidents

Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.] At 11:02 p.m. Aug. 17, Stoneham police responded to Main Street for a report of a hit-and-run incident. A 911 caller reported a hit-and-run in front of Walgreens. The suspect vehicle allegedly crossed over the center line and struck another vehicle head-on.  Meanwhile, multiple 911 callers reported a second accident on Elm Street allegedly involving the same vehicle as with the first hit-and-run report.
