POLICE LOG: Two Sent to Hospital After Motor Vehicle Crash

Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.] At 2:30 p.m. Sept. 20, Stoneham Police called to Main Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident with personal injuries. Two vehicles were towed from the scene, and two people were taken to Winchester Hospital, according to police. Sept. 20 @10:38 a.m.: Police responded to the Main Street Mobil area for a report of a minor motor vehicle crash. No tows or transports reported. Both parties exchanged insurance paperwork, according to police. @12:49 p.m.: Police called to Redstone Shopping Center for a report of a hit-and-run incident. The caller reported her vehicle was …

The Stoneham Fire Department fielded six dozen calls for service from Jan. 31-Feb. 6.
Nearly one-third of the calls the Stoneham Fire Department responded to from Jan. 31-Feb. 6 were for motor vehicle-related incidents. The Fire Department fielded 72 calls, up 18 from the previous week, during that seven-day period, with aid requested (29 calls), motor vehicle crashes (14), fire investigations (nine) and seven calls for motor vehicle accidents with personal injury round out the list. The physical assault on a candidate was at the least unfortunate. I mis-wrote when I typed above that the police refused to arrest the alleged assaulter. From what I hear, by law they cannot do so. And if anything, it still makes things feel "less safe". more ›
