REPORTS: Stoneham Police Assist Melrose PD in Search For Shooting Suspect

A home on West Wyoming Avenue in Melrose was shot multiple times late Thursday night, according to unconfirmed scanner reports.

Stoneham Police assisted Melrose Police in the search for a possible suspect vehicle involved in a shooting on West Wyoming Avenue in Melrose late Thursday night, according to unconfirmed scanner reports. At roughly 11:45 p.m. Thursday, Melrose Police responded to 19 West Wyoming Ave. after receiving several calls about shots fired in the area, according to the reports. At least four bullet holes were found in the home, including one in the door and another through the window, according to the reports. Police canvassed the area and no one was injured during the shooting, according to the reports. Police: Stoneham Armed Robber Also Hit Melrose, Winchester and Woburn

Since Oct. 30, five Stoneham area businesses have been robbed at gunpoint, and police believe it's the same person.

Recently, five armed robberies have occurred at Melrose area businesses and police believe the suspect in each case is the same person. Since Oct. 30, five armed robberies—including one at the DB Mart convenience store and another at Sunset Tanning in Stoneham—have taken place in the area, including one in Melrose, Winchester and Woburn, according to investigators. The suspect is described as being a white male, approximately 5-foot-8, wearing a black hat, black mask, black sweat shirt, black gloves, black running pants with a white stripe down the leg and black sneakers with white soles, according to Stoneham Detective Christopher Dalis.  "I have been working with Woburn, Winchester and Melrose detectives," said Stoneham Detective …

Stoneham Man Pleads Not Guilty to Charges in Melrose Hit-and-Run Case

Eugene Ledonne, 76, of Stoneham, was arraigned Tuesday in Malden District Court on charges of leaving the scene of accident after causing personal injury and assault and battery dangerous weapon (motor vehicle) stemming from an accident in Melrose Sunday.

A Stoneham man accused of running over a motorcyclist at a Melrose intersection Sunday morning pleaded not guilty to charges in a Malden court on Tuesday, according to officials. Eugene Ledonne, 76, of Stoneham, pleaded not guilty to charges of leaving the scene of accident after causing personal injury and assault and battery dangerous weapon (motor vehicle) in Malden District Court, according to Stephanie Guyotte of Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone's Office. Judge Matthew Nestor released Ledonne on $300 bail with conditions of no driving and no contact with the victim, Guyotte added.  Ledonne's next court appearance will be on Sept. 26, as he's scheduled for a pre-trial conference, according to Guyotte. REPORT: Suspect Led Police on High-Speed Chase on I-93

A suspect led police on a high-speed pursuit on Interstate 93 late Thursday night, according to a scanner report.

A suspect led police on a high-speed chase on Interstate 93 late Thursday night, according to a scanner report. Shortly before midnight, State Police attempted to stop a driver allegedly traveling over 100 miles per hour on the highway, according to the report. The suspect was last seen by a detail officer at Route 28 and Pond Street in Stoneham, according to the report. Stoneham and Melrose police were notified about the incident, the report added. State and Melrose police were standing by at the suspect's residence on Pleasant Street in Melrose, according to a Twitter report. We'll provide an update once we obtain more information.

REPORT: Police Searching for Suspect in House Break on Lynn Fells Parkway in Stoneham

We'll post updates as we receive them.

Police are searching for a man who broke into a home on Lynn Fells Parkway Friday afternoon, according to reports. The incident happened after 2 p.m. and Melrose police arrived on scene first. It's unclear what, if anything, was taken from the Lynn Fells Parkway home. Stoneham police also responded and are searching for a suspect described as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s, wearing all dark blue sweats with a blue-and-red backpack. The suspect was last seen riding a mountain bike, heading in the direction of J.J. Grimsby's. We'll post more updates as we receive them.
