One vehicle was towed, while one person was transported to Winchester Hospital, according to police. A report was taken. Sept. 17 @8:02 a.m.: Police responded to the area of Hancock and Main Streets for a report of a minor motor vehicle accident. Drivers exchanged paperwork. No transports or tows logged. @6:24 p.m.: Police called to Stop & Shop Supermarket on Main Street for a report of a hit-and-run incident. Best Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Stoneham: Montvale Plaza

Montvale Plaza narrowly won this week's "Best of Patch Readers' Choice" contest.

It was a close call between three of our choices for best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Stoneham, but the winner of the "Best of Patch Readers' Choice" contest is Montvale Plaza. Tallying the Votes Of the 14 votes in our poll, Montvale Plaza received five votes (35 percent), narrowly beating Melissa's Main Street Bistro four votes (28 percent) and third-place finisher Ninety Nine Restaurant and Pub with three votes (21 percent). Aldo's Cafe & Lounge and Gaetano's tied for fourth place with one vote apiece, while Bacci's Restaurant didn't receive a vote and finished in fifth. Elizabeth Warren Tours Downtown Stoneham

The U.S. Senate hopeful and a few of her political supporters visited the area and spoke about the issues facing our country Monday evening.

U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren toured businesses downtown Stoneham Monday evening. Warren was joined by political leaders State Reps. Jason Lewis and Jim Dwyer, Sen. Katherine Clark, members of the Stoneham Board of Selectmen and other supporters. Warren began her tour of Stoneham Square by popping into the Stoneham Theatre where Director of Development Lynn Krasker led a tour throughout the Theatre, talking about the storied past of the building and upcoming productions. Next, Warren dropped by Doucet Remodeling and Design Inc., where Warren and owner Cathy Doucet wrapped about small business and the success of the store despite the struggling economy. The U.S. Senate hopeful from Massachusetts is expected to meet with supporters at Melissa's Main Street Bistro in Stoneham on Monday, Feb. 20 at 5:20 p.m.

Elizabeth Warren, a U.S. Senate candidate from Massachusetts, is expected to take a business walk starting at Stoneham Theatre at 4:45 p.m. before meeting with supporters at Melissa's Main Street Bistro on Presidents' Day (Monday, Feb. 20) at 5:20 p.m., according to an press statement from Warren's office.
