Stoneham Woman May Lose License After Hit-And-Run Incident

At 7:42 a.m. Dec. 10, police and fire responded to a hit-and-run call near the McDonald Finnegan Funeral Home located on Common Street.

A Stoneham woman may lose her license following a hit-and-run incident near a local funeral home Monday morning, according to police. At 7:42 a.m. Dec. 10, Stoneham Police and Fire responded to a hit-and-run call near the McDonald Finnegan Funeral Home located on Common Street. A 2011 Chevrolet pick-up truck, driven by a 66-year-old Stoneham woman, "was traveling north on Main Street, turned onto Common Street, crashed into (a) stop sign then through (the) fence of (the) funeral home. (The) vehicle then drove back onto Common Street and left scene," Police Chief Jim McIntyre said in an email to Stoneham Patch Tuesday. Police Respond to Accidents in Stoneham Monday

Two accidents kept Stoneham Police busy Monday morning.

Two accident scenes kept Stoneham Police and Fire busy Monday morning. Around 8 a.m. Monday, police and fire responded to a hit-and-run call near the McDonald Finnegan Funeral Home located on Common Street. A fence, funeral home sign and stop sign were damaged after a woman reportedly crashed at the funeral home site. The cause of the accident is currently unknown. Car vs Pole About 9:30 a.m. Monday, police and fire were called to Forest Street for a report of a single-car crash into a pole.  A silver sedan crash struck a pole, which did not fall but was split toward the base of the pole. The car sustained significant front-end damage. It's unclear if anyone was injured during the crash. Messages left with Stoneham Police went unanswered …
