Man Pleads Guilty to Shaking Infant to Death, Boy Took 8 Years to Die From Injuries

Brian Saucier, 42, of Stoneham, pleaded guilty Friday, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's office.

Brian Saucier, of Stoneham, pleaded guilty Friday to involuntary manslaughter charges stemming from the shaking death of his infant son, according to an announcement from the Middlesex District Attorney's office. According to the announcement, Saucier shook his son in 2002, and the boy died eight years later from the injuries. Saucier was arraigned on Aug. 5, initially entering a plea of not guilty. Updated at 1:09 p.m. and 3:49 p.m. The third day of the Mark Kerrigan trial ended midway through Brenda Kerrigan's emotional testimony about the events that occurred the night her husband Daniel Kerrigan died following an altercation with her son, Mark Kerrigan. Brenda Kerrigan testified that Mark Kerrigan had been trying to use the house phone multiple times and that her husband had become annoyed with his son and told him to not to use it and to go downstairs in the basement.
