Stoneham business owners: Is your store or restaurant open on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 21? We're compiling a list of places that will be open and their hours. If you'd like to be included, leave your business' store hours for Monday, Jan. 21 in the comments below. You can also email your store or restaurant's hours on those days to Stoneham@Patch.com. The event kicks off Monday at 10 a.m. at 15 Dale Court.
The Boys & Girls Club in Stoneham, 15 Dale Court, will host this year’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day event. The event will focus on the civil rights struggle and the importance of tolerance and peace. Children will lead part of the program. This year's celebration will include music and dancing, an art gallery, youth essay readings and pizza. Julia Kelly, Friday's "Whiz Kid of the Week," will lead a special presentation on equality and detail the inspiration Dr. King's legacy continues to hold.

However, most area restaurants, shopping centers, gas stations and places of business will be open.
