With the recent blizzard dropping more than a foot of snow onto Stoneham and surrounding areas, our thoughts are turning to winter activities. Sledding, building snowmen, cross country skiing, and other activities fill our days. However, we can't forget an old favorite: ice skating. When temperatures plummet and the ice thickens, we sharpen our skates and look forward to zipping across the ice. A lot of cautionary notes go out this time of year on ice skating safety.
