Elizabeth Warren Reportedly Chosen For Seat On Key Senate Banking Committee

Incoming Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren will take office in January.

Massachusetts Senator-elect Elizabeth Warren has been chosen for a seat on the Senate's Banking Committee, according to the Huffington Post, which cited several sources.  Warren, a Democrat who helped create the federal government's Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, defeated incumbent Republican Senator Scott Brown in the November election. Prior to being elected, Warren worked as a consumer advocated and was considered to become the head of the CFPB.  What do you think of Warren being chosen for the Banking Committee? Tell us by posting a comment in the comments section below.

What is Warrens position on Gun Control? Has she ever received campain funds from the NRA? Her last opponent Scott Brown was the largest recipient of campain funds from the NRA. We need to save childrens lives along with the interest rates. I would be interested to see what the banking committee's position is on Gun Control.   more ›

The cuts threaten to slow down the delivery of many things, including check payments, Netflix’s DVDs-by-mail, newspapers and could add costs to mail-order prescription drugs. More details on the estimated $3 billion in cuts are expected to be announced later today. We’d like to know what you think as this story develops? Are you concerned about this? Please let us know in the comment section below and also take our poll.

I sell my handmade jewelry on Etsy.com and I use PayPal to purchase USPS postage. It usually only costs me $1.75 to send a piece of jewelry via First Class mail in a bubble envelope. If the USPS eliminated this, my shipping costs would more than double and hurt my small business. This worries me greatly.   more ›
