At 7:42 a.m. Dec. 10, police and fire responded to a hit-and-run call near the McDonald Finnegan Funeral Home located on Common Street.

A Stoneham woman may lose her license following a hit-and-run incident near a local funeral home Monday morning, according to police. At 7:42 a.m. Dec. 10, Stoneham Police and Fire responded to a hit-and-run call near the McDonald Finnegan Funeral Home located on Common Street. A 2011 Chevrolet pick-up truck, driven by a 66-year-old Stoneham woman, "was traveling north on Main Street, turned onto Common Street, crashed into (a) stop sign then through (the) fence of (the) funeral home. (The) vehicle then drove back onto Common Street and left scene," Police Chief Jim McIntyre said in an email to Stoneham Patch Tuesday. A 911 caller reported a hit-and-run in front of Walgreens. The suspect vehicle allegedly crossed over the center line and struck another vehicle head-on.  Meanwhile, multiple 911 callers reported a second accident on Elm Street allegedly involving the same vehicle as with the first hit-and-run report.
