PHOTOS: Firefighters in Water Rescue Training at Spot Pond
The Stoneham Fire Department held a water rescue training on Thursday at Spot Pond.
Like every winter, unfortunately, there have been reports from around Massachusetts of firefighters undertaking rescue missions of people or animals who have broken through ice and ended up in freezing cold water. The Stoneham Fire Department is prepped. On Thursday, the department's Group 4, which is headed up by Capt. Ed Regan, went through water rescue training at Spot Pond.
