Five Things You Need to Know Today: Jan. 18

Haven't the faintest idea what's going on in the Stoneham community? Here is a quick summary.

1. Breakfast is served! The Friends of the Library annual breakfast is slated for 10 a.m. at Stoneham Public Library, 431 Main St., in the Marcy Room. Local author Kate Genovese will be the guest speaker at the breakfast, which is free and open to the public, at 10:30 a.m. 2. Got dry skin? The Barefoot Dragonfly, 489 Main St., is holding a hands-on workshop from 6-7:30 p.m. Participants can make their own body scrub from natural ingredients for $15. Space is limited and registration is required. 3. Skating the day away. Public skating at Stoneham Arena, 101 Montvale Ave., is open from 10-11:45 a.m. The cost of admission is $4 per adult and $3 for children 16-years-old and under.
