Report: Car Fire on Spring Street in Stoneham

There is reportedly a fully involved car fire at 53 Spring St. Monday night. We'll provide more updates as we receive them.

There is reportedly a fully involved car fire at 53 Spring St. Monday night.  The fire occurred in the driveway about 10 feet way from a house, according to Twitter user firephoto161. No injuries have been reported.

UPDATED: Single Motorcycle Accident on Woodland Road in Stoneham

The accident reportedly happened after 8 p.m. Tuesday. No one was injured.

One motorcycle crashed Tuesday night on Woodland Road in Stoneham, but no one was injured, according to State Police. The accident took place on the southbound side of Woodland Road after 8 p.m. Woodland Road is located near Spot Pond.

UPDATED: Stoneham Firefighters Extinguish Brush Fire in the Fells

Stoneham Fire Department able to knock down Tuesday evening's brush fire by Wednesday afternoon, according to Stoneham Fire Chief Joseph Rolli.

Stoneham firefighters were able to extinguish a large brush fire at the Middlesex Fells Reservation that started Tuesday evening by Wednesday afternoon, according to Fire chief Joseph Rolli. "Everything went well," Rolli said in an email Friday to Stoneham Patch. "We put a crew of seven men with two engines in there on Wednesday and the fire was out around 3 p.m." No one was injured while tending to the blaze, which covered about 7-8 acres, according to Rolli. At about 5 p.m. Tuesday, the fire department received a call about a brush fire in a remote part of the woods behind the Life Care Center of Stoneham and the former Boston Regional Medical Center. Stoneham Patch was unable to gain access to the fire, which never put either complex in…

UPDATED: Clerk: Pistol-Toting Gunman Stole Money from the Stop N Save in Stoneham

Store clerk believes armed gunman to be the same person who robbed the convenience store two months ago.

Police are looking for two men who reportedly robbed a convenience store on Franklin Street Saturday night. Shortly after 8 p.m., Stoneham police responded to a report of an armed robbery at Stop N Save, 140 Franklin St. “We got robbed by a gunman who I think robbed us two months ago,” according to a store clerk. “He (was) wearing a net-like mask.”  When the store was robbed previously, the suspect was wearing a Joker mask, according to the clerk. “It was him. I can tell," claimed the clerk. "The gun is the same, the height is the same (and) the voice was the same. We didn’t get the (license plate) number of the car, but it was the same (vehicle)." UPDATED: No Visible Garage Fire on Parkway Road in Stoneham

It appears there is no significant fire at Parkway Road or connecting streets.

There is reportedly a garage fire on Parkway Road Friday morning. "Detached garage on fire on Parkway Road," according to a tweet from @nefirebuff.  Update: A visit to the site yielded no noticeable garage fire or fire trucks on Parkway Road or neighboring streets.

Traffic Advisory: Car Accident on Pond Street Near Spot Pond in Stoneham

A car appears to have skidded and crashed off the road on Pond Street on Wednesday morning. Use caution commuting in the area.

A car accident on Pond Street near Spot Pond has slowed traffic on Wednesday morning. The accident reportedly occurred before 10 a.m. and it's unclear if anyone was injured. It appears two vehicles were damaged in the crash, and a tow truck had a sedan with a crumpled front end loaded and a second sedan off to the right side of the road with damage to the front end as well. There were noticeable tire tracks on the ground near the edge of Spot Pond from one of the vehicles. Use caution commuting in the area.

UPDATED: Missing Elderly Man From Wakefield Found in Haverhill

Police searched the Stoneham region before eventually locating Joseph Doucette, a 67-year-old man with early onset dementia who went missing from a Bathol Street nursing home in Wakefield on Monday afternoon, in Haverhill Tuesday evening.

The 67-year-old man with dementia who went missing from a Wakefield nursing home on Monday afternoon was located by Haverhill Police on Tuesday evening at a bus stop in Haverhill. Wakefield Police received a tip on Tuesday afternoon that Joseph Doucette, who was reported missing from the Sunbridge Wakefield Care and Rehab on Bathol Street around 3 p.m. on Monday afternoon, had visited a friend that day in Haverhill, Mass. However, it was unclear to police where Doucette went after visiting that friend. It wasn't until approximately 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon that Haverhill Police spotted Doucette waiting at a bus stop in Haverhill. Doucette's disappearance sparked a late-night helicopter and K-9 search of the woods surrounding the …

At about 4 p.m. Monday, multiple cars and trucks were reportedly involved in a collision on the highway near Montvale Avenue, according to Twitter user @NEFirebuff, and at least two lanes closed.

Bedford Man Accused of Drunk Driving in Wrong-Way Crash on Route 93 Sunday Night in Stoneham

James Milligan, 63, is slated for a March 20 arraignment in Woburn District Court to answer to several charges.

A Bedford, Mass. man is facing drunk driving-related charges after driving the wrong way on Route 93 northbound in Stoneham Sunday night and injuring four people in a four-car crash, according to State Police. James Milligan, 63, was arrested at Winchester Hospital and charged with OUI alcohol, leaving the scene of property damage accident, wrong way operation and OUI alcohol and causing a serious accident with personal injury, according to police. He was treated for injuries reportedly sustained in the crash and later bailed, according to police. He is slated for arraignment on March 20 in Woburn District Court. There is a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Route 93 North south of Montvale Avenue Monday morning.

There is a motor vehicle rollover with injuries on Route 93 North south of Montvale Avenue in Stoneham Monday morning, according to Twitter reports. An Action EMS supervisor is reportedly on scene requesting fire to enter Highland Ave ramp. Stoneham Engine 3 is responding. One injured person was backboarded, according to @FirePhoto161. The car is reportedly on its side, he tweeted. We'll provide more details as we receive them.
