Reports: Vehicle Explodes in BJ’s Wholesale Club Parking Lot

The call came in at about 3:45 p.m. this afternoon.

Update 8:37 a.m., Monday, Jan. 28 The car's remote key ignited flammable vapors causing the explosion. Read the full story here. Update 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 27 The owner of the vehicle told WCVB that she was about 30 yards away from her car, a 2012 Honda Civic, when she attempted to open her trunk remotely and the explosion occurred. The woman, a nurse at Winchester Hospital, told the news station that she did not have oxygen tanks or anything else flamable in the vehicle.
