The caller described the suspect as a 6-foot-tall man dressed in all black clothing brandishing a black handgun, according to police. The clerk refused to give the gunman money, according to police. The suspect fled the building toward the rear of the building, according to police. Medford K9 unit responded to the scene, according to police. No arrest logged. Police to file a report. Police: Clerk Throws 'Chili Powder' in Gunman's Face, Thwarts Robbery

The same suspect that recently committed five armed robberies—two in Stoneham—in the area attempted a sixth Sunday night at a Main Street convenience store in Stoneham, according to police.

The same suspect that recently committed five armed robberies—two in Stoneham—in the area attempted a sixth Sunday night at a Main Street convenience store in Stoneham, according to Stoneham Detective Christopher Dalis. At 9:21 p.m. on Veterans Day, police responded to a report of an attempted armed robbery at the C-Store, 41 Main St. "(The) suspect brandished a handgun; however, did not get any cash," Dalis said. "Clerk did not mace the suspect but did throw a cup of 'chili powder' in his face." The suspect fled the store toward George Street, according to Dalis, and a Massachusetts State Police K-9 unit was called in. Police Looking for Suspect in Attempted Armed Robbery at Dunkin' Donuts

A knife-wielding man allegedly tried to rob the Dunkin' Donuts at 2 Lynn Fells Parkway Thursday, according to police. The same man was also spotted at a Dunkin' Donuts on Franklin Street shortly before the attempted armed robbery.

Stoneham detectives are looking for a man who appeared in two Dunkin' Donuts—the second of which he attempted to rob at knifepoint—in Stoneham Thursday, according to police. At 3:54 p.m., police responded to the Dunkin' Donuts on Franklin Street after an employee called about a suspicious man in the store. "The employee in the store thought they recognized him from a past robbery," said Lieutenant Jim McIntyre. "He became nervous and ended up leaving the store. Because of him going into the store the (patrol) units started checking other Dunkin' Donuts and convenience stores to keep an eye out and give them a heads up that he was out and about." REPORTS: Police Searching for Suspect in Attempted Robbery at Dunkin' Donuts

There was an attempted robbery at Dunkin' Donuts, 2 Lynn Fells Parkway, Thursday evening, according to reports.

There was an attempted robbery at Dunkin' Donuts near J.J. Grimsby's was robbed Thursday evening, according to scanner reports. At roughly 6 p.m., Stoneham police were called to Dunkin' Donuts, 2 Lynn Fells Parkway, for a report of a robbery. The suspect showed a knife before fleeing the store on foot, according to reports. No injuries have been reported. Three police cruisers arrived at the scene with lights flashing, according to a tweet posted by Twitter user @KarynInBoston.  Police are looking for a white man wearing aviator glasses and a blue shirt.
