The caller reported a child in the driveway screaming, according to police. Ruth St. Amand, 55, of 6 Middle St., Stoneham, was arrested and charged with assault and battery on child with injury and assault with a dangerous weapon. An ambulance was called to the scene to evaluate the child, according to police. Sept. 22 @12 a.m.: Police made a motor vehicle stop on Pomeworth Street.
