The caller described the suspect as a male party wearing a black baseball hatm black ski mask, brandishing a black handgun, according to police. The suspect had no vehicle and fled the store, according to police. Stoneham Convenience Store Robbed at Gunpoint [PHOTOS]

There was an armed robbery at the DB Mart convenience store on Main Street Tuesday night, according to Stoneham Police Detective Christopher Dalis.

A Stoneham convenience store was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night, according to Police Detective Christopher Dalis. At 8:59 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the DB Mart, 427 Main St., for a report of an armed robbery.  "(The) suspect entered (the) store and pointed a black handgun at the clerk demanding the cash drawer," Dalis said. "(The) clerk gave (the) suspect entire drawer with cash which the suspect placed in a black bag. Suspect fled on foot out of store toward Maple (Street)." Dalis declined to comment on how much money was taken, but did say it was a "significant amount." The suspect is described as being a white male, approximately 5-foot-8, wearing a black hat, black mask, black sweat shirt, black gloves, black running pants …
