Five Things: Selectmen to Revisit Non-Organic Materials

Check out the "Patch Facts" column for Nov. 15.

1. Board of Selectmen: The Board of Selectmen will meet at 7 p.m. in Town Hall. According to the agenda, the board will revisit its recent decision to begin using non-organic materials to treat town fields. The board is expected to discuss the issue with the Stoneham Youth Coalition. 2. School Committee: The School Committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the high school’s Room 125. By looking at the agenda, it appears the majority of the meeting will be held in executive session, which is not open to the public. 3. 1. Calm before the storm? The National Weather Service's forecast for Stoneham calls for a mostly cloudy day, with about a 30 percent chance of precipitation. Daytime temperatures aren't expected to exceed 41 degrees, while rain may start after 5 p.m. Nighttime temperatures may dip to about 32 degrees, with rain possibly changing to snow after 10 p.m. One to two inches of snow accumulation is possible. 2.
