what a stupid poll question. Are you asking about the intersection at Fellsway and Ravine Road? The one that was quoted in an earlier article as having 3 accidents in 3 months and therefore "unsafe"? This closure was a dumb move and is killing everyone coming from 93S. Traffic has backed up at the zoo every day since then, because the small increase in northbound traffic on Woodland road due to …   more ›

It's Opening Day, How Are You Feeling About the Red Sox?

Is it more of the same? Or will the Sox respond?

A 1-5 start by the Red Sox has put a quick damper on the optimism of sunny Fort Myers spring training. But even managing just one win before opening day at Fenway is an improvement on last year. And, in case you don't have a good memory or decided to repress the last month of last season, the 2011 Red Sox didn't finish so well, either. Fenway Park is celebrating its 100th anniversary this season. The team that played the inaugural season at Fenway? They won 105 games and beat the Giants in the World Series. But as Rick Pitino might say, Smokey Joe Wood isn't walking through that door. The Red Sox have changed their manager and management. They've shuffled around some pitchers, added some outfielders and changed their shortstop. But does it…

What Should Be on the Menu at the Burger King in Stoneham?

The fast food chain has been reorganizing inside and out, and we're wondering what you think they should serve after all is said and done.

Burger King, the "Home Of The Whopper," plans to be the home of strawberry banana smoothies, according to an article in the Boston Globe about changes the company is making. They've already debuted new, thicker French fries, cut down on the cheese in the burger (so it "melts more easily") and discovered that customers prefer bacon that's cooked at each location, rather than a "pre-cooked variety with smoke flavor sprayed on."   What other changes do you think they should make? Do you have a suggestion for a new menu item, or do you just want more frosting with your Cini-minis? Should they bring back the chicken fries, or are their new chicken wraps an improvement?   Leave a comment below and let us know what you think. And remember, this …

Lots of Love Cat Rescue's Pet of the Week

Who's on First? Abbott & Costello Up for Adoption [VIDEO]

Will you adopt this feline duo?

[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] “Who’s on first?” is a famous baseball line from the comedy duo of Abbott & Costello. Sadly enough, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello are long gone, but this entertaining feline duo will keep you laughing and smiling. This look-alike pair are not related, but they have formed an instant bond. They were abandoned on the streets and met each other for the first time at their foster home. Within minutes of arrival, they both settled right in, like they always lived there.   Their slapstick comedy show mixes lots of play time with interludes for naps. They adore playing with each other. If they could talk, they would probably say, “Don’t split us up.” Both cats are …
