Will You Adopt Tolstoy?

This friendly Maine coon cat needs a loving home.

Life has many different chapters for us all. We can only guess the first few of Tolstoy’s life.

Named after his foster mom’s favorite writer, Leo Tolstoy, both share a large stock frame and wise ways. The chapter we do know: It took four long months of feeding and gaining trust to trap this wise cat. Filthy and matted, you could feel each rib on his scrawny frame.

Turn the page, and now this gorgeous Maine coon cat mix, with his black, gray and white soft fur, is close to his ideal weight. Believed to be about two to three years young, he follows his foster mom around and she often catches him gazing upon her.

Tolstoy would likely get along with any animal or child just fine, as he is very comfortable in the submissive role. A plus: He has no interest in climbing on kitchen tables or counters. The only deal breaker is that you must allow Tolstoy to lie upon your bed, it’s his instinctual need.

Although sometimes sleeping on his foster mom’s stomach, his favorite spot is dog-like, at the foot of the bed. He adores snuggling beside your legs and especially your feet. With winter around the corner, what better way to keep your toes toasty warm? It really doesn’t take much to keep this sweet cat happy; a cat bed scratcher, catnip and mostly being part of a loving family. Might you consider meeting Tolstoy, to help turn the page, so he can then truly begin a new and loving chapter in his life?
