Dawn Needs a Loving Home [PHOTOS]

Will you adopt Dawn the tuxedo cat?

Hey you over there. Look at me! My name is Dawn and I'm the bright, little, tuxedo girl who is looking at you from the window of my home at the Danvers PetSmart. I moved here recently from a PAWS foster home because they told me I could find my new family more quickly if I showed myself off to lots of people, so here I am. I'm looking at you with my big, dazzling, green eyes.

I know you can tell already, but I'm sweet, curious and gentle. I love to be patted and am very affectionate. I may not show it at first, but I’m longing to cuddle and rub up against you.

Haven't you noticed that if you put your nose to my window I will put my nose there too? I also love to “sniff” any fingers that are extended. If you come during adoption hours on Thursdays and Fridays from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m., we can actually touch each other. I would roll over and let you rub my belly.

At PetSmart, I love to sit in the cat tree and watch the people go by. I ask myself: How much is that person in the window? I think that line would make a great song, don’t you? I could fit in with almost any family, but I hope to find one that will promise to give me my daily strokes and cuddles, and adore me as much as I adore my people. Does that sound good? I thought so.

Come visit me this weekend and let’s get to know each other. I mean, I'm happy here, but I really want to get out of this window and move home with you.

You can meet some of our cats at our new adoption center at the Danvers PetSmart on Thursdays and Fridays from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.

Additionally, join us on Saturday, July 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the VCA Wakefield Animal Hospital for our third Kitten Party of the season.  We have several litters of kittens ready for adoption and they all plan to attend our adoption hours this week, hoping you will come and fall in love. Come early because kittens go fast.
