Holiday Party a Hit at Boys & Girls Club of Stoneham

The festive event had a strong turnout this year.

The holiday spirit was in the air recently at the Boys & Girls Club of Stoneham's holiday party.

On Dec. 16 the Club was decorated in festive holiday decorations, holiday music blasted and there wasn't a member in the building who was not enthusiastically smiling that night.

A generous donation of $1,000 from the Stoneham Kiwanis Club allowed us to provide food and toys for all attending members. This is the second year in a row that the Kiwanis Club has sponsored our holiday event and provided volunteers to help assist with the night.

Our holiday party each year proves to be one of our more exciting events for our members. In the gym, creative holiday variations of popular gym games helped keep our members active, including snowball bombardment and steal the snowball.

Arts and crafts were also part of the night including a holiday cookie creating station and a holiday ornament project.

The night concluded with a raffle for our members where they were able to win large prizes. When asked what he thought of the event, regular Club member Jason said, "The holiday party here at the Club is my favorite event of the year." This holds true for many of our Club members due to the fun and excitement associated with our holiday party.
