The town is hosting two Independence Day celebrations this year. At 10:30 a.m. on July 4 a parade of bicycles, wagons, carriages and scooters kicks off at the Town Common.

At 6:45 p.m. the town's second July 4 celebration at Mount Hood Memorial Park will bring patriotic tunes to attendees. Performances from local bands and high school ensembles will accompany refreshments and snacks available from local vendors.

Wakefield

Known as having one of the country's most impressive Independence Day celebrations, Wakefield is hosting a complete day of activities starting at 7 a.m. and running until a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. Here is a complete list of the day's activities

Burlington

The The Burlington Breakfast Rotary Club is hosting Burlington's Fourth of July parade and celebration on the Town Commons. The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. on July 4 from Terry Avenue and proceeds to the Town Common.
