Potholes: they can be your car's worst nightmare and every community seems to have them, including Stoneham. With that in mind, we previously asked you, our readers, where the potholes in town are and you've responded.

While readers didn't tab one street in particular as having the worst (or most) potholes, there was no shortage of responses.

A Deep Concern

A pair of readers expressed their concern of deep potholes located in Stoneham.

Reader dhcork7 said there is a 45-inch-by-32 inch-by-4 inch "deep (pothole) and (it's) growing on Avalon Road between 21 Avalon (Road) and 22 Avalon Road."

Meanwhile, fellow reader Kim Savage said "Washington Street, closer to (the) Spring (Street) end. Small but very deep, (as it) can severely damage cars."

Fed-Up Taxpayers

Two readers expressed their disappointment with how the town has allegedly failed to fix potholes on certain streets in Stoneham.

Camille Chesnick
said "three potholes on Tedford Drive in Stoneham (This street only has (three) homes...does that mean we can't get the potholes fixed?) This has been going on for years and they are still not fixed. Do the people who live there not pay enough taxes?"

As for reader MAC, they said that the "bottom of Collincote (Street) at (the) intersection with Main (Street) (Route 28). The whole street is a mess. This has been reported to our DPW and no action has been taken."

It's not too late to join the conversation. What potholes do you find to be problematic in Stoneham?
