PHOTOS: Spartans Trounce Warriors
The Stoneham High School softball team beat host Wakefield Memorial High 15-5 on Tuesday.
WAKEFIELD — Trailing 5-4 in the fifth, the softball team erupted for eight runs en route to a 15-5 win over on Tuesday at Veterans' Field.
Gia Raczkowski powered the Spartan offense with three hits and three RBI, while Holly Eicher had three hits and and an RBI. Nicolette DelVecchio picked up the win in 6 2/3 innings and helped her own cause with a pair of hits and an RBI.
Stoneham's Colleen O'Quinn and Lauren Reed each contributed a pair of hits and two RBI, with O'Quinn belting an inside-the-park home run in the fifth, and Amanda Navarro had a hit and drove in a pair of runs.

Jess Anthony and Ariana Tuccelli also drove in runs for Stoneham.
Stoneham has been creeping up the Middlesex League standings all season long, and currently sits at 8-4 with a big game against 10-2 Burlington Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. at home.
