Daniel Nava to Give Baseball Clinic in Melrose

Boston Red Sox outfielder Daniel Nava will be leading a baseball clinic on Wednesday in Melrose, according to an event posting on Melrose Patch.

The clinic, which is intended for boys and girls ages 6-14, is set for 9 a.m. Wednesday at Fred Green and Morelli Fields at Melrose High School, according to the posting.

"Nava will be on site to direct clinic activities, provide instruction, and give lectures highlighting the finer points of the game of baseball and beyond," reads the posting. "(He) will also be accompanied by some of the areas' best high school and college coaches that will run various stations and drills, specializing in the fundamental skills of baseball."

In the event of inclement weather, the clinic will be shifted indoors to the high school gym, according to the posting.
