Weiss Farm Project concerns

The Weiss Farm project has created a ground swell of interest in protecting our community from the inherent flaws in this project.

This has been and continues to be a significant factor in uniting an extraordinarily diverse group of people.
Many have voiced their opinions clearly and with great integrity and honesty. We have listened to each other and learned from each other.

We should congratulate ourselves for the progress made in exposing the clearly ill-conceived Weiss Farm project.
We should also congratulate ourselves on creating a potential platform for exploring other issues of concern to the people of Stoneham.

Unfortunately, with this success comes the associated risk that inflated egos and political agendas engender.
Of late there has been an undercurrent of thought that goes beyond the stated safety, health and economic concerns of a working class community. It is a deeply disturbing trend.

This increasingly prominent undercurrent has no place in the effort to stop the Weiss Farm project. It is time to look in the mirror and assess our responsibility as individuals in fostering this behavior.

To maintain our integrity we must put a stop to this impediment to our progress.
