Ditch Your Old Toothbrush for Electric

Dr. Bui of Redstone Dental, Stoneham recommends switching to an electric toothbrush to keep your gums and teeth healthy and have fresher breath.

Keeping your gums and teeth healthy are essential not only to having a beautiful smile, but also to your overall health.

When I see patients at my Redstone Dental Practice in Stoneham, I encourage them to consider using electric toothbrushes. My patients whom use electric toothbrushes have amazingly healthy gums. An electric tootbrush, also known as a power toothbrush, is a great device for keeping your teeth and gums healthy between dental visits. They may even help to prevent some teeth and gum problems that simply cannot be addressed by using a manual toothbrush.

When speaking with my Stoneham dental patients about electric toothbrushes, I like to explain to them about the functionality of the device. Electric toothbrushes really do all of the work for you. For example, with a manual toothbrush, a patient must manually move the toothbrush around all quadrants of the teeth and gums. Care has to be taken to make sure that all areas of the mouth are being thoroughly cleaned while simultaneously avoiding the temptation to scrub hard. The act of not scrubbing too hard can be quite difficult as most people feel that the more vigorously they scrub, the cleaner they are getting their teeth. Scrubbing the teeth and gums too hard can lead to sensitive teeth as well as gum erosion. This alone is reason enough to replace manual toothbrushes with electric ones.

An electric toothbrush does all of the work. Really, all a patient has to do is to move the toothbrush around inside of the mouth. The rest of the work is taken over by the toothbrush itself. It works to gently yet thoroughly remove stains and plaque that can build up over time. And because of deep level of cleaning, my patients who have tried power toothbrushes tell me that they have fresher breath.

There are any number of electric toothbrushes on the market today. At Redstone Dental, we offer the Oral B Professional Series. This series offers my patients many benefits such as numerous settings to choose from according to teeth sensitivity, teeth whitening, pressure sensors to let them know when they are brushing too hard and timers to indicate how long someone has been brushing, among others.

Electric toothbrushes can help you to preserve one of your most prized possessions, not only from an aesthetic standpoint, but for overall good health. You may find that your dental exams are easier, you will have that fresh from the dentist clean feeling on a daily basis, and you will have a whiter, brighter, healthier smile.

Here you have discussed about the benefits of using electric tooth brushes. What is about the side-effects. Generally electric items are having some side-effects on skin. Does it have any? Because if it will have any then we might have fall in a big problem. So, you should make aware of it before. http://bit.ly/13RaPIs
