UPDATED: State Police: DCR Parking Ban Starts Saturday Night at 9

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation is instituting a parking ban starting at 9 p.m. Saturday due to the snowstorm, according to a State Police press statement.

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation is instituting a parking ban starting at 9 p.m. Saturday due to the snowstorm, according to a State Police press statement.

"...The Department of Conservation and Recreation or DCR will institute a parking ban on all of their roads in anticipation of the pending storm," reads the statement. "These roads are all around parks, waterways and areas generally patrolled by the State Police.

"All vehicles not removed from these areas will be towed to allow for snow removal and emergency access."

State Police initially reported the ban would begin at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, but sent out a second press statement with the corrected time of 9 p.m.
