Five Things: Newsletters, SPARC Applications Due, Special Town Meeting, Storytime and Sunny Weather

1. Sunny day: Tuesday is looking like it will be mostly sunny with temperatures in the mid-40s and winds in the 6-11 miles per hours range, according to the National Weather Service's forecast for Stoneham. At night, temperatures dip to the low 20s and winds taper off to 5-8 miles per hour.

2. Got books? is slated to have a storytime for all ages from 10:30-11:15 a.m. in the Children's Room. The free program is open to the public and includes simple crafts, songs and stories.

3. Special session: A Special Town Meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at in the Auditorium. Residents will have the opportunity to vote on four warrant articles, including whether the town will fund part of the estimated $40 million .

4. Deadline day has arrived: Sophomores and juniors interested in applying to the Stoneham Peers Achieving Real Connections (SPARC) Leader Program application need to submit their applications to Mrs. Willard the Guidance secretary Tuesday, according to the Stoneham High School website. Once applications have been turned in, Willard will have students sign up for a Leader Group Interview. For more information, visit the SPARC website.
