Storms Keep Stoneham Fire Busy; Department Responds to Over 70 Calls

The Stoneham Fire Department responded to over 70 calls last week, including several storm-related calls.

On Thursday, during the first of two snow storms last week, Stoneham Fire responded to fire alarms on Montvale Avenue (10:02 a.m.) and Colonial Court (2:35 p.m.); and four consecutive reports of downed wires — Curve Road (3:20 p.m.), Brackett and Garden Road (3:42 p.m.), Fellsway East and Ravine Road (3:44 p.m.) and Elm and Washington streets (3:46 p.m.). Also during the storm, firefighters tended to a motor vehicle fire on Main Street at 5:40 p.m.
