Stoneham Police Respond to Multiple Vandalism Calls

At 10:04 a.m. July 5, police responded to Montvale Avenue on a report of vehicle vandalism, according to a police log. A report was taken.

At 1:08 p.m. July 6, police responded to Constitution Road for a report of a mailbox that was vandalized, according to a police log. A report was taken.

July 1

8:52 p.m.: Police responded to the area of Franklin and Main Streets for a report of a past assault, according to a police log. The caller reported being assaulted by three men, according to the log. An ambulance was called to the scene, but the caller declined medical treatment, the log adds.

July 2

9:45 a.m.: Police responded to Main Street on a report of a person hit by a vehicle, according to a police log. The incident happened around 8:30 a.m., and the called declined medical treatment twice, the log notes.

11:06 a.m.: Police called to Main Street for a report of a minor accident, according to a police log. No tows or transports logged.

12:41 p.m.: Police responded to a motor vehicle crash in the area of Franklin Street and Rustic Road, according to a police log. One vehicle was towed from the scene, the log adds.

2:18 p.m.: Police called to Main Street for a very minor accident, according to a police log. Both drivers exchanged insurance paperwork, and no tows or transports logged.

July 3

12:19 p.m.: Police responded to Micah's Way for a report of an assault and battery in progress, according to a police log. Police arrived and found multiple people shot at the scene. A Stoneham man was killed and another man injured in the double shooting, and two people were later arrested and charged with murder. For more details about the case, see our latest report.

July 4

10:42 a.m.: Police called to Cedar Street for a report of an hit-and-run vehicular accident, according to a police log. No tows or transports logged. 

July 5

4:17 p.m.: Police called to Main Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash, according to a police log. 

4:52 p.m.: Police responded to Wright Street for a report of identity fraud, according to a police log. A report was taken.

July 6

2 p.m.: Police responded to Dunkin' Donuts on Main Street for a report of a past larceny, according to a police log. The theft reportedly occurred two weeks ago.

8:30 p.m.: Police called to Central Street for a report of two hypodermic needles found on a sidewalk, according to a police log. Both needles recovered and disposed of properly, the log adds.
