Stoneham Man Arrested on Multiple Warrants
At 10:35 p.m. June 29, Stoneham police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Montvale Avenue, according to a police log. Richard Christie, 36, of 19 Park St., Stoneham, was arrested on two warrants charging him with speeding in violation of special regulations and operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
June 29
8:38 a.m.: Police called to Royal Roast Beef on Main Street for a report of a vehicle that struck a freezer behind the building, according to a police log.
10:11 a.m.: Police responded to Maple Street on a report of property damage, according to a police log. The caller reported a tree fell on his car sometime overnight.
4:10 p.m.: Police called to the intersection of Franklin and Pine Streets for a report of a minor motor vehicle accident, according to a police log. No tows or transports logged.
7:59 p.m.: Police responded to Deliworks & Pizzeria on Montvale Avenue to check on a person, according to a police log. The caller told police that an off-duty officer asked her to call the police to report two kids that allegedly mugged another kid, according to the log.
8:55 p.m.: Police called to Franklin Street on a report of a vehicle that struck a parked vehicle in a driveway, according to a police log.
June 30
3:18 p.m.: Police responded to Main Street for a report of a hit-and-run vehicular accident, according to a police log. A parked vehicle was struck by another vehicle, according to the log.
3:37 p.m.: Police called to the Stop & Shop Supermarket on Main Street for a report of a large bag of hypodermic needles found toward the rear of the building, according to a police log. The needles were recovered and disposed of properly, according to the log.
4:31 p.m.: A person visited the police station to report past assaults, according to a police log. The victim claimed he was assaulted in April at McCarthy Field on Beacon Street, and also in front of his home in Wakefield, according to the log. A report was taken for the assault in Stoneham, and police advised him to file a report with Wakefield police.
