UPDATED: Two Multi-Vehicle Accidents on Route 93 Northbound in Stoneham

The first accident happened around 3:30 p.m. Saturday between exits 36 and 37, while the second happened at about 4:30 p.m., according to Twitter reports.

Multi-vehicle accidents have caused traffic issues on Route 93 northbound in Stoneham Saturday afternoon, according to Twitter reports.

The first accident took place around 3:30 p.m., and the right lane of the highway was closed and traffic was "backed up a couple miles," according to Twitter user @CelestialAxis. However, all lanes recently reopened and traffic is backed up to Spot Pond, according to Twitter user @NEFirebuff. No reports of any injuries or tows.

About 4:30 p.m., @NEFirebuff tweeted: "Another 2 car crash on (Route) 93N at exit 34 in #Stoneham. Left lane taken. And a 3 car paper exchange at (Route) 128 off in the (break down lane)."
