Police: Skunk Found with Head Stuck in a Cup in Stoneham

Police: Skunk Found with Head Stuck in a Cup in Stoneham

At 6:36 a.m. Aug. 6, Stoneham police responded to the area of Cottage Street and Montvale Avenue for a report of a skunk found with its head stuck in a cup running in traffic, according to a police log. The skunk was later contained in a bucket, and the animal control officer was called to the scene, according to the log. 
Aug. 2

7:35 a.m.: Police responded to the area of Common and Main Streets for a report of an accident, according to a police log. One vehicle was towed, and no one was injured during the crash, according to the log. 

5:54 p.m.: A vehicle stolen from Stoneham found in Wilmington was towed back to Stoneham, according to a police log. The vehicle was found parked for 10 days on Raymond Road in Wilmington, the log adds.

10:07 p.m.: Police called to Middle Street for a report of an out of control juvenile, according to a police log. The caller reported that their daughter was out of control, according to the log. The teen was arrested, the log adds.  

Aug. 3

12:11 p.m.: Police called to Main Street on a report of an accident, according to a police log. No tows or transports logged.

7:38 p.m.: Police responded to Marshalls on Main Street for a report of two teens detained for allegedly shoplifting, according to a police log. The teens' parents were notified, the log adds.

Aug. 4

10:20 a.m.: Police responded to Franklin Street for a report of a past breaking and entering into a vehicle, according to a police log. The caller reported that sometime overnight someone broken into their vehicle and stole an iPod, the log adds.

5:55 p.m.: Police called to the area of Route 93 North and Montvale Avenue for a report of an accident. No tows or transports logged.

Aug. 5

8:02 a.m.: Police responded to the area of Elm and Washington Streets for a report of an accident, according to a police log. Two vehicles were towed from the scene, and no transports were logged.

2:29 p.m.: Police responded to Famous Footwear on Main Street for a report of a woman that allegedly stole a pair of sneakers, according to a police log. 

4:06 p.m.: Police called to Green Street for a report of harassment, according to a police log. The caller requested a restraining order, the log notes.

7:47 p.m.: Police responded Governor Road on a report of hit-and-run accident causing property damage, according to a police log.
