POLICE LOG: Three People Taken to Area Hospitals After Assault and Battery Incident on High Rock Road

At 4:38 p.m. May 26, Stoneham Police responded to High Rock Road for a report of an assault and battery in progress. The caller claims there was an assault and battery with injuries that just occurred at the residence, and a dispatcher heard a disturbance in the background during the call. One person was taken to Winchester Hospital, one to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital and a third person to Winchester Hospital. No arrests reported. Police to investigate.

@10:46 a.m.: Police respond to a three-car crash on Main Street. One vehicle was towed. No transports reported.

@1:37 p.m.: Police called to on North Street for a report of a larceny. A man claims items were stolen from his locker. Police to investigate.

@6:43 p.m.: Police and called to Norval Avenue for a report of an outside fire. A fuel can was on fire, but it was extinguished by the resident upon arrival.

@7:49 p.m.: Police called to Fairview Road on a report of a road hazard. A tree limb too large to be moved fell into the roadway. DPW closed the street while removing the tree limb.
