POLICE LOG: Stoneham Woman Accused of Assault and Battery

At 7:11 p.m. Aug. 3, Stoneham police arrested Tammy Decarney, 35, of 18 Erickson St., Stoneham, and charged her with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Report to follow.

@2:15 p.m. Police were called after two males were illegally soliciting for a local Internet company by telling users that their service would be temporarily unavailable as they would be working on nearby services. Stoneham police contacted the pair's company and explained that they would need to come in Monday for the proper permits. Their work was shut down for the weekend.

@9:30 a.m. Police responded to Alden Avenue for a report of a larceny. The owner of the residence reported tools had been stolen from his garage.
@9:58 a.m. Police responded to a concerned citizen's call that a man was spying with binoculars into her apartment on Main Street. It turns out it was a visually impaired man using binoculars for legal purposes and not spying.
@12:16 p.m. Police called to Woodland Road for a report of larceny. A woman told police that a handheld video game system and accessories were stolen from her bedroom.
