POLICE LOG: Stoneham Woman Accused of Assaulting Child

At 5:49 p.m. Sept. 23, Stoneham Police responded to Middle Street for a report of an unknown disturbance. The caller reported a child in the driveway screaming, according to police. Ruth St. Amand, 55, of 6 Middle St., Stoneham, was arrested and charged with assault and battery on child with injury and assault with a dangerous weapon. An ambulance was called to the scene to evaluate the child, according to police.

@12 a.m.: Police made a motor vehicle stop on Pomeworth Street. Bill Rapier, 26, of 5 Cottage St., Stoneham, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license and a motor vehicle lights violation.

@1:40 a.m.: Police called to Lee Street on a report of a disturbance. Michael Rudack, 19, of 14 Lee St., Stoneham, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault and battery.

@11:56 a.m.: Police called to Fallon Road on a report of a motor vehicle crash into a hydrant. The caller reported their son hit a hydrant coming off the ramp. The vehicle was towed from the scene. No injuries reported.

@7:52 p.m.: Police responded to LA Fitness for a report of a larceny from a locker. Police to file a report.

Sept. 23

@8:42 a.m.: Stoneham Fire provided mutual aid to Woburn Fire for a report of a fire at the Hyatt Hotel. Stoneham firefighters released at 8:46 a.m.

@4:53 p.m.: Police called to Waverly Street for a report of a past breaking and entering. The caller reported someone entered the home before Sept. 18 and stolen a rosary and cosmetic jewelry, according to police.
